Anthea Turner’s beginnings presenting Top of the Pops and Blue Peter led her to hosting her own programme The Perfect Housewife and later competing on Dancing on Ice.

From divorce to career changes to fertility issues, the TV star has been through it all.

We love — her optimism even in the toughest of circumstances. She’s never short of an opinion or two, either.

In our recent interview with the star, she told us how she stays passionate and motivated every day.

“Walk into a room, stand up straight and smile. It’s the cheapest beauty tip.

“As you get older, when you smile it takes you cheekbones up and you look a heck of a lot better than if you have a miserable face on.

“I don’t think I’ve ever in my whole life been so aware of health and the downside of ill health, which has been there for all of us to witness. If we want to get the best out of life, there’s nothing more important than being healthy.

“People can glibly say, ’59 is the new 40’, but actually, 60 is 60 and you have to look after yourself because you are precious.”
